The cabin was pretty clean and large enough for our family. Wish we had known how high it was in the mountains with windy roads. I wish you had a sheet pan, for cookies, we made them in the muffin pan instead. Also, it would be helpful to know what to do with groceries, that we cannot take with us. (unopened butter sticks, soda cans, condiments). Should we lave them or throw them away?

Cabin was perfect for Our group. The place was clean, it was a great location. I did noticed the toilet runs, we had to jiggle the handle for it to stop.

Our stay was wonderful. The deck was perfect for morning coffee, listening to nature. The kitchen wares were of good quality and easily found. The whole cabin was clean and comfortable, especially the beds. Just what we needed. Suggestions: Regulate the chemicals in the hot tub better. The first use we could hardly breathe. Providing a king bed in the downstairs bedroom. The size of the bedroom could easily accommodate it.

The location of the cabin was wonderful, even with the snow we were able to get out. The cabin itself was great. Our children loved spending time there and were entertained by the game room and theatre room ( actually, so were the adults). I would stay at this cabin again in the future. The cabin was very clean upon arrival and is already stocked with some of the necessities you may forget. It was a great experience.

The house was great. It could use some rocking chairs on the back deck though.

Country Cabin in the City

Where City Meets Country In more ways than one, this charming mountain cabin offers something for everyone.
By Katherine Owen - LOG & TIMBER HOME LIVING MAGAZINE

For visitors to the “Country Cabin in the City,” a rental cabin in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, it quickly becomes clear what Dolly Parton meant when she sang, “In my Tennessee mountain home, life is as peaceful as a baby’s sigh.”
Perched on a hillside just outside of town and surrounded by trees, the pine-log retreat delivers on the promise of its name. “When you’re there, you’re only a mile from all the typical tourist traps, but you wouldn’t really know it. It feels very relaxing,” explains owner Bob Bruzik.
Bob purchased the property just over a year ago; he recalls it was a bit of a “diamond in the rough.” Two months, a new roof and floor, several updated appliances and a brand-new decor scheme later, and the cabin was properly polished.

Upstairs, Bob committed to the rustic-cabin-in-the-woods theme. “It’s a full-on log cabin with bear switch plates and antler chandeliers,” as he describes it. But downstairs, the spaces take on an Old-Holly-wood-meets-speakeasy motif. Guests are treated to a movie room and “VIP” bedroom, both with decor influenced by the big screen. Over in the game room, bourbon barrel tables and “no snitches allowed” signs complete the speakeasy setting.

VIP amenities aren’t limited to the lower level though. The three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom cabin boasts a hot tub, a spacious deck, a fireplace and jetted tubs in each full bathroom.

If you can pull yourself away from the luxe lodging, there’s no shortage of things to do in the area. Dolly Parton’s theme park, Dollywood, is just up the road to the northeast, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park is to the south. In town, there’s a little something for everyone, from mini- golf to car shows to alpine coasters to dinner theaters. Bob advises you can even zip over to both Gatlinburg and Knoxville with ease.
No matter how you spend your trip — posted up in the hot tub or hiking the hillsides, Dolly fans and nature lovers alike will find out what’s so sweet about the region as to inspire such legendary songs. “It’s just a very tranquil, relaxing place to decompress,” Bob says. “We got lucky.”
