Enjoy a fun and affordable vacation experience with your kids the next time you are on vacation by following our list of favorite free things to do in Pigeon Forge with kids. From dinner shows to memorable picnics, there is something for every family to enjoy.
1. Discover The Old Mill Square
The Old Mill Square is one of the best locations you and your family can visit to learn a little bit of the history of the area during your trip. Along with being the oldest building in Pigeon Forge, The Old Mill is also one of the few grist mills that are still in operation today.
There is a small admission fee to tour the inside of The Old Mill, but that doesn’t mean you and your family can’t spend the day walking around the outside of it. While you are there, you can step inside some of the shops and restaurants found in the square, including The Old Mill Candy Kitchen and The Old Mill Creamery for a sweet treat!

2. Picnic in Patriot Park
Who doesn’t love a quaint picnic in the park, especially on a warm, sunny day? Treat you and your kids to a memorable picnic during your next vacation to Pigeon Forge by adding a trip to Patriot Park to your travel itinerary. You can either pick up something to eat from one of the nearby restaurants in The Old Mill Square or you can pack your own lunch. Either way, we can guarantee you will love your outdoor eating experience.
When you’re done with your lunch, you and your kids can walk the half-mile long greenway that circles the park. Along this route, you will find a patriot tribute to the fallen servicemen and women from our area.
