If you want to see the work of some of the best artists in the Southeast, head to the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community. This 8-mile loop in Gatlinburg is lined with galleries, studios, and shops featuring products from over 120 different local artists and craftsmen. Visitors to the community will see an incredible collection of paintings, pottery, photography, wood carvings, and so much more. Of course, there are plenty of opportunities for souvenir buying, but browsing is completely free!
2. Go for a Scenic Drive

One of the best things to do in the area is sample local wines! Be sure to check out the Rocky Top Wine Trail, which allows you to do free wine tastings at 5 wineries in the Smoky Mountains. The trail includes The Apple Barn Winery, Sugarland Cellars, Hillside Winery, Mountain Valley, and Mill Bridge Winery. Get your Wine Trail Passport stamped at 3 of the locations and receive a free logo wine glass! After you complete the trail, you’ll get an additional gift! The wineries on the Rocky Top Wine Trail offer over 70 unique varieties of wine that you can sample without spending a dime.
5. Enjoy the Amenities at Your Cabin
