Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains are serious about good food and great entertainment. So serious, in fact, that three new celebrity themed restaurants are opening this summer. All three are sure to have delicious dishes, unique experiences and fun entertainment.
Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen
Paula Deen announced a new restaurant operation at the end of February. This restaurant and retail store are set to open sometime late this summer. The restaurant has a projected construction, design and yearly budget of $20 million.
Located at the Island in Pigeon Forge, Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen will feature all the things that made her Savannah restaurant famous, along with additional features special to the Great Smoky Mountains.
Paula’s son Jamie described the 20,000 square food restaurant’s cuisine as influenced from his mom to Matthew and everything in-between. No date has been set for the opening, but the celebrity chef has been in the area recently to open a Gatlinburg store and host two live 90 minute cooking events in Pigeon Forge.
The Island in Pigeon Forge is located at 131 Island Dr. Pigeon Forge, TN.
Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville
If you’re interested in spending a few hours on Island time, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville is the place to kick back and relax without watching the clock.
The Pigeon Forge Margaritaville is now open with a bright theme including slogans, photos and more. On the menu are a variety of options ranging from burgers to clubs and salads. Some of the best dishes on the menu are the appetizers and desserts, so be sure to grab them while you’re there.

After enjoying a burger in paradise, don’t forget to grab a souvenir! The retail area of the store features t-shirts, cups and everything island themed.
Margaritaville is located at the Island in Pigeon Forge and is open daily from 11:00am-2:00am. The retail shop is open 10:00am-1:00am.
Hard Rock Cafe
With a unique look at the history of music, no other restaurant honors musical legends like Hard Rock Cafe. The new Hard Rock Cafe in Pigeon Forge opened in May with seating up to 302 guests at one time. The 12,000 square foot restaurant features a private event space, patio seating and a live stage.
Located between WonderWorks and the Smoky Mountain Opry, Hard Rock features memorabilia from local and national performers. In the Pigeon Forge location, there is a Taylor Swift vintage dress, a rhinestone skirt from Dolly Parton and sequined pants worn by Michael Jackson.
Cafe hours are Sunday through Thursday 11:00am-12:00am and Friday and Saturday 11:00am-1:00am.
Retail shop hours are 9:30am-12:00am Sunday – Thursday and 9:30am-1:00am Friday and Saturday.
