No one plans on having to deal with a rainy day in the Smoky Mountains when they’re getting ready for their vacation. When the weather changes, and you don’t want to go hiking in the national park or wandering up and down the Parkways in the rain, there’s still plenty of fun things to do in the area. One of the great things about visiting the aquarium is that there’s no rush to make your way through the attraction. You can take your time and explore as much of the aquarium as you want, for as long as you like. So, if you only need to spend a couple of hours there, you can, or you can spend the entire afternoon exploring and learning about the fish.

The aquarium has a schedule of events, featuring diver shows and special presentations throughout the day. Stop by the specific aquarium tanks to see real people feeding sharks and swimming with sea turtles!

2. Wonderworks

You can’t miss the big, upside down house that sits on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge! Instead of driving by it, go ahead and stop on in. You’ll enter an upside down world, but don’t worry, they will send you through the inversion tunnel to turn you right side up before you begin the fun.

Get out of the rain and step inside the Titanic Museum attraction in Pigeon Forge! Families really can experience what it was like to be aboard the Titanic ship so many years ago. From interactive exhibits to facts and trivia, there is so much to do, see and learn at the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge.

New tours board every day, right on the hour. When you enter, you will be given a card with the name and information of one of the Titanic’s actual guests aboard the ship. There are other dinner shows in the area like Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Theater, Lumberjack Feud, Murder Mystery Theater, Biblical Times Dinner Theater and the Grand Majestic Dinner Theater. All of these are located in Pigeon Forge and are easily accessible from the main Parkway.
